This is a great way for an environmentally concerned individual or family to keep current with important issues and scientific findings of the whale world, while enjoying a variety of whale items.

Join The Whale Center or give a gift membership, and receive all these benefits. You can also renew your membership, or email us with new member information if there has been a change in some personal information, such as your mailing or email address. All information is kept confidential.

Privacy Notice: We will not release this information to any other organization. We need it to send the materials and contact you in the event of a problem.

The option you should use depends on who will receive the membership materials. There is the initial package (photos, button, booklet, etc.), that includes all of the materials listed on the membership page. Later there also are periodic mailings that come for a year. By providing an email address you will receive membership-only messages that are periodically sent out.

Choose one of the options below based on who will receive these materials.

  1. New Member: If you are becoming a Member, and the address for billing is the same as the address where all materials will be sent to, then do not fill out the blue form below. Instead, go below the blue form, choose your membership option(s) and submit it to continue.
  2. Renewing Member: If you are renewing your membership, and the address for billing is the same as the address where all materials have been sent in the past, then do not fill out the blue form below. Instead, go below the blue form, choose your membership option(s) and submit it to continue. (Note: if your physical address has changed, for receiving information from us, then please fill out blue form below).

A Publication for Members of the Whale Center

Flukeprints3_07thThe Whale Center of New England publishes its illustrated newsletter, FLUKEPRINTS, each quarter. It can be described as an 'informal journal' of the Whale Centers's ongoing efforts, and enables Whale Center members to stay on top of regional whale issues.

FLUKEPRINTS provides articles of interest involving current whale research, conservation and policy. Examples of article topics include:

  • The persistent problem of whale entanglements in fishing gear
  • Current sightings of humpback whales and other cetaceans in our study area
  • Recovering whale populations and implications for whaling decisions
  • Results of long-term dolphin research conducted by WCNE
  • Efforts to make Jeffreys Ledge part of the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary
The newsletter includes spectacular photos and interesting information regarding these animals and the vital North Atlantic Ocean habitats they utilize, such as:
  • Stellwagen Bank
  • Jeffreys Ledge
  • Massachusetts Bay
  • the Gulf of Maine
